November is a busy month for financial and mental wellbeing. Talk Money Week and Stress Awareness Day both fall in the first week, Movember runs all month, and the festive spending season is just around the corner. For employers, it’s a great opportunity to start conversations, share useful resources and signpost support.
Here are some key dates to add to your calendar.
November | Movember (Men’s Health Awareness Month)
Movember runs throughout November and raises awareness of men’s health, including mental health and suicide prevention. It can be a useful prompt for employers to encourage open conversations and make sure support is easy to find. Charities such as Mates in Mind provide resources for workplaces.

2nd–6th November | Talk Money Week
Talk Money Week is the Money and Pensions Service’s annual campaign encouraging people to talk more openly about money. This year’s theme is “It All Counts”, highlighting that small, realistic actions can make a difference to financial wellbeing. Free, impartial guidance is available through MoneyHelper.

4th November | Stress Awareness Day
Stress Awareness Day falls within International Stress Awareness Week (2–6 November), run by the International Stress Management Association (ISMAUK). Money worries are one of many sources of stress at work, and the day is a good prompt to ask teams what pressures they are facing and where they can find support.

19th November | International Men’s Day
International Men’s Day highlights positive role models and raises awareness of men’s and boys’ wellbeing. It sits alongside Movember and is another chance to show that mental health and money worries are normal things to talk about at work.
Our Money Mindset workshop is an accessible way to start that conversation with employees.
19th November | Carers Rights Day
Carers Rights Day, run by Carers UK, helps unpaid carers understand their rights and find the support available to them. Working carers often juggle extra costs and time pressures, so it’s a good moment for employers to remind staff about flexible working, carer-friendly policies and sources of financial guidance.

27th November | Black Friday
Black Friday (27 November), followed by Cyber Monday (30 November), marks the start of peak festive spending. For some it’s a chance to pick up a bargain, but it can also add to financial pressure ahead of Christmas. It’s a timely moment to share budgeting tips and remind employees that support is available, for example through MoneyHelper’s budgeting tools.

Making the most of November
From money conversations and stress awareness to men’s health, carers’ rights and the festive spending season, November offers plenty of opportunities for employers to support their employees’ wider wellbeing.
