Our Story

Chadwicks IFA

John Chadwick founded Chadwicks Independent Financial Advisers from his back bedroom in Mold, North Wales.


Chadwicks IFA relocated to The Steam Mill in Chester due to the expansion of our team.

Planned Future

John Chadwick founded Planned Future as a sister company to Chadwicks IFA. Chadwicks acquired Corporate Chartered Status. Chadwicks has provided numerous financial education seminars to public and private sector employees over the years. Planned Future was set up as a training company to separate the financial advice and training functions. 

London Universities

Chadwicks IFA was awarded a contract to provide pensions and tax advice to the university staff of six of the largest London based universities. Planned Future organises and delivers financial education events for the staff of these universities. This was a major contract which was awarded due to our extensive and detailed knowledge of public sector pension schemes.

Chadwicks IFA Acquisition

Chadwicks IFA was sold to Skerritts - a national firm of Chartered Independent Financial Advisers. John Chadwick now devotes all his working time to expanding the capacity and reach of Planned Future. We are working towards B-Corp status to reflect our mission of operating for all company stakeholders.

Planned Future’s commitment to elevating people and the planet to the same level as profit was recognised in April 2024 when it became part of the B Corp™ community.

Why Planned Future?

Qualified Speakers

Financial Wellbeing

We believe the best people to provide financial guidance at seminars are IFAs who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

  • IFAs are required to pass examinations to Diploma Level 4 standard and many have progressed beyond this minimum standard.
  • IFAs are required to complete 35 hours of Continual Professional Development (CPD) every year to keep their knowledge up to date.

Mental Wellbeing

Our mental wellbeing trainers are all carefully selected as experts in their own field.

  • Each trainer must satisfy our rigorous trainer assessment criteria.
  • Our Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainers are all accredited by MHFA England.
